RECAP 2021 - Our Place Our Future!
The 2021 Mayor's Prayer Evening was held on the 12 March at the Belmont 16's. Civic, Christian and Community leaders gathered around shared values that benefit the people of Lake Macquarie.
- The Lake Macquarie Mayor delivered addressed those gathered and highlighted needs in the city that would benefit from collaborative solutions; homelessness, domestic violence and male mental health.
- Pastor Matthew Brown (Regional Minister Hunter Baptist Churches) prayed for Mayor Kay Fraser.
- Pastor Roz Zaia (Macquarie Life Church) spoke into the theme of the evening 'Our Place Our Future.'
- Prayers for the region were brought by Michelle and Craig Sparrow (Healing Path to Wellness) and Teresa Brierley (Catholic Dioceses of Maitland - Newcastle).

2021 Beneficiary - Healing Path to Wellness
The proceeds of this event are given to a local Lake Macquarie charity. Charity winners are chosen by a selection committee that includes the Mayor, local school students and church representatives.
The 2021 beneficiary winner was announced by the Mayor, 'Healing Path to Wellness'.

Heavenly Father
We will proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night.
How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts!
We believe in you.
We believe you have great plans for our future.
We ask you to release dreams and visions in your people.
We ask you to visit this land and her people that hope would arise.
We speak light into every dark place.
We speak hope into every place of hopelessness
We commit to stand together as one in this city.
We know our oneness will reflect heaven here and now.
We commit to pray and work together for the welfare of our city.
We know if it prospers, we to will prosper.
Release over us your presence, your peace and miraculous hand in this hour.
We honour you over our place, this city! You, Lord, are forever exalted!
God be glorified in us and throughout this city.

Prayer of Declaration and Blessing 2019
Heavenly Father we give you thanks for this city, this region and her people. Today we commit them to you.
We ask that the hand of the great physician go to work today.
We pray that hardened hearts be softened, broken hearts be healed and troubled minds find rest.
We ask that clouds of darkness and confusion be lifted off people today.
We speak healing and hope over this land.
We ask for forgiveness to flow and reconciliation to reign.
We declare acts of wickedness to be bound and broken.
We declare healing to be released in Jesus name.
We declare the peace of God to reign in the hearts of every man, woman and child.
We ask that families would flourish and marriages would prosper.
We ask that every man, woman and child be blessed with a hope for the future.
We ask that the creativity of heaven be released upon this city and her people.
We declare you are a God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or imagine.
