The Lake Macquarie Mayor's Prayer Evening was established on the 6 November 2019 by Mayor Kay Fraser and Lake Macquarie ministers. The purpose of the event being to gather, connect and pray for the City of Lake Macquarie and it's people.

Event Beneficiary
Each year Lake Macquarie charities are invited to apply to become the beneficiary of the event. Funds raised for the beneficiary are raised through the sponsorship of the event and donations by guests on the evening.
In total since 2019 a total of $35,845 has been gifted to Lake Macquarie charities.

The 2022 Mayor's Prayer Evening was held on the 28 October at the Lake Macquarie Yacht Club. The proceeds of the event were donated to Our Backyard.
2021
The 2021 Mayor's Prayer Evening was held on the 12 March at the Belmont 16's. The proceeds of the event were donated to Healing Path to Wellness.
2019
The 2010 was the inaugural Lake Macquarie Mayor's Prayer Evening was held on the 6 November at the Belmont 16's. The proceeds of the event were donated to Survivors R Us.
*The Mayor’s Prayer evening is an initiative of the Lake Mac Combined Churches with a Lake Mac Prayer Organising Committee established who takes full responsibility for resourcing, organising and managing the event. The finance for the event to come under the due diligence of Kingdomworks INC9878178 ABN 26952386537. This entity was historically set up for city initiatives (ACTION).
